TROY unveils wireless print server

TROY Wireless has introduced EtherWind, a full-featured 802.11b (AirPort) print server. EtherWind works with virtually any network operating system, provides “excellent Macintosh functionality,” and operates with HP’s JetAdmin management software. In addition, EtherWind is compatible with Apple’s AirPort and AirPort Base Station and supports printing binary PostScript jobs on printers that support the HP Tagged Binary Communications Protocol.

Polaroid announces sub-US$200 camera

Polaroid has introduced the PhotoMAX PDC 1320, an affordable new 1.2 megapixel digital camera. The PhotoMAX PDC 1320 features 8MB of internal memory, a CompactFlash slot, USB connectivity, and 2x digital zoom. While Mac compatibility is not specified, the camera can certainly be used with a CompactFlash reader, and is likely supported as a USB storage device on its own under the Mac OS. The camera is available now for $199.95.
