David Pogue, Technology Editor of The New York Times, explores $300 digital cameras from Sony, Minolta, Fuji, Toshiba, Kodak, Olympus and Hewlett-Packard in his latest column, on a mission to discover how much “trickling down” of features has occurred since last year, when cameras with similar features retailed for twice as much. Most of the cameras in the $300 range this year feature 2 to 3 megapixel resolutions, color LCD screen, built-in flash, and a 2X or 3X optical zoom lens.
