Carvware has released a new version of its utility, GamePad Companion 1.2, for supporting input devices, such as gamepads and joysticks, with applications on Mac OS X. Version 1.2 adds the ability to use game devices to control the mouse cursor, mouse buttons and scroll wheel; an auto-fire option and the ability to turn off key-repeat; better filtering so that unwanted device elements do not show up in the element pop-up; improved multi-device support so that two identical gamepad models can both be used simultaneously; auto detection of added and removed devices and selecting control elements; and an improved user interface. GamePad Companion 1.2 is available for US$15 shareware.
