Apple will be hosting Developer Kitchens focusing on icon design and creation for Mac OS X, according to MacCentral. Instruction topics will include tips and tricks in Photoshop, how to model real world materials, and how to create shadows. The kitchens—taking place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13; Tuesday, November 27; and Tuesday, December 11—will be held on the Apple campus in Cupertino, California. The sessions are open to registered developers in the Apple Developer Connection, including those who signed up for free online membership. Space is expected to fill quickly, so developers interested in the sessions are encouraged to reserve their spot as soon as possible.
