Michael Dell, chief executive of computer maker Dell Computer, said on Wednesday that he expects personal computer sales to see growth in the high single digit percentage range over the next four to five years, according to Reuters. Dell also told investors at the Prudential Securities technology conference that he believes the consumer selling season in the fourth quarter is going to be “pretty good.” Apple CFO Fred Anderson, speaking to analysts during its recent third quarter earnings announcement, said that Apple was uncertain about how consumer spending would fare during the upcoming holiday season.
