Yamaha today introduced the CRW2200FXZ, a 20x10x40x FireWire CD-RW that combines all of the company’s recent technological breakthroughs. This includes Partial Constant Angular Velocity (P-CAV) technology, which improves the quality and reliability of recordings, as well as Yamaha’s SafeBurn technology with Triple Protection Architecture, a buffer underrun protection system that prevents bad burns even if the data being delivered to the drive is temporarily delayed. The CD-RW is available now for US$329.95; a USB 2.0 model (CRW2200UXZ) is also available.
