Sonnet has posted version 1.0.1 of the driver for its Crescendo 7200 series of upgrades. The update boosts the maximum RAM allowed in the system from 256MB to 1GB and adds support for the company’s Tempo Ultra ATA card. Sonnet is the first company to offer an upgrade for the “non-upgradeabable” Power Mac 7200 series. The PCI-based card is available with either a G3 and G4 processor. The upgrade starts at US$299.95 for a G3/450 and goes up to $449.95 for a G4/450.
