Today marks what we think ushers in something new for Macintosh users on the Internet. We’re going to get right into the news, but before we do that, I’d like to take a “minute” (pun very much intended) to explain what we have in store for you here at MacMinute.com.

A lot has changed on the Web since I founded MacCentral Online (now owned by Mac Publishing LLC) some years ago — I think this web site will reflect some of those changes. MacMinute will provide you with Apple Macintosh news and information seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.

Our goal is to keep you up-to-date on everything that is going on in the world of Macintosh as soon as it happens. In addition to the North American market, we will keep you informed on what is happening on the International scene. Last, but certainly not least, you’re not going to find too many frills or loads of banner advertisements to distract you here — just the news and lots of it. Our Reader Forum, “The MacMinute Café,” will be launching next week as well, so stay tuned for that.

I hope you enjoy your stay with us. Please write and tell us what you think of our efforts. Our desire is to make this Web site exactly what you want it to be — only you can help us to do that. Enjoy and thank you for stopping by!    – Stan Flack, Publisher
