FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Stalker Software Releases Free Upgrades to their network sharing applications
and Utilities.

MILL VALLEY, CA – August 12, 1998 – Stalker Software, Inc. has announced
free upgrades to their networking line of products including PortShare Pro,
LineShare, SCSIShare and the PortConnector utility.

PortShare Pro V2.7 is the popular application that allows any serial device
to be shared over an AppleTalk/EtherNet network. This includes modems for
dialing out, label writers, printers and other non-networkable serial
devices.

LineShare V3.4 allows modems to receive more than one type of incoming call
ie: Fax, ARA, Timbuktu etc. eliminating the need for a dedicated modem and
phone line.

SCSIShare V1.6.1 lets a scanner be shared across the network from any
remote work station eliminating the need for a dedicated scan station.

All three applications are controls panels and the upgrades include
slightly redesigned user interfaces, and some minor fixes implemented for
Power PC based machines.

Stalker’s PortConnector v2.2 utility allows Macintosh communications
programs to make connections using TCP/IP, ISDN, or ADSP protocols, or with
any network supported by a Connection Tool. It allows non-CTB and TCP-savvy
applications to employ CTB Ports, Tools, as well as TCP/IP streams.
PortConnector is also a control panel and the latest version includes an
improved start-up code driver as well as some minor user interface changes.

All upgrades are free and information on how to receive an upgrade can be
found on Stalker’s web site at http://www.stalker.com.
