PACE Anti-Piracy Updates InterLok (TM) System for Electronic Software
Distribution and Authorization

Version 1.1 Adds Mac OS 8 Support, Enhanced Anti-Hacker Protection, and
Support for Upcoming Cross-Platform Releases

SAN JOSE, CA–June 11, 1998–PACE Anti-Piracy, the leading developer of
software authorization and protection systems for Mac OS, has introduced
Version 1.1 of its InterLok Software Authorization System for the
Macintosh. The new release provides full Mac OS 8 compliance, including
support for Apple Appearance Manager, as well as increasing the range of
software “krack”-defeating technologies incorporated in the InterLok
system. In addition, InterLok Version 1.1 for Macintosh adds the core
technologies required to interoperate with PACE’s upcoming InterLok for
Windows release, allowing cross-platform developers to make their Macintosh
applications ready for PACE’s next-generation unified software
authorization system. The new release also adds support for Installer VISE
5.0, MindVision Software’s latest version of its software installation
utility.

The InterLok Software Authorization System is a comprehensive toolset for
the creation and remote unlocking of software and protected software,
offering both turnkey and custom programming use, and allows software
developers to protect, distribute, and sell their software online, as well
as via other traditional channels. “The Version 1.1 release not only adds
support for InstallerVise 5.0, Mac OS 8, and the latest Apple Appearance
Manager, it also adds the capability to integrate with the server-based
unlocking and tracking of software authorization that will be part of the
next-generation InterLok system,” said Allen Cronce, President and CEO of
PACE Anti-Piracy. “And the incorporation of additional anti-piracy
deterrents means that InterLok can do an even better job of protecting some
of the world’s most coveted software products. PACE Anti-Piracy continues
to set the standard for the secure distribution of software.”

The new versions of InterLok and InterLok Pro are available directly from
PACE. Information on the products and no-risk evaluation versions can be
