INTERVISTA SOFTWARE LAUNCHES MACINTOSH VERSION OF ITS
INDUSTRY-ACCLAIMED WORLDVIEW 2.0

Intervista Delivers On High Demand for Macintosh VRML Support

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., July 21, 1997– Intervista Software, a leading
provider of three-dimensional interactive software for the Internet, today
announced the Macintosh operating system (OS) version of its successful
WorldView 2.0 software, the companys Virtual Reality Modeling Language
(VRML)-based Internet browser.

“The immediate availability of the much-anticipated Macintosh version will
empower users with the ability to create and experience interactive 3D
content and applications for the Internet and private Intranets,” said Tony
Parisi, president and chief technology officer at Intervista Software. “The
number of VRML worlds on the Internet is exploding and until now, Macintosh
users have been unable to view them. We are excited to see the walls tumble
down as we make it possible for everyone to view this exciting content on
the Web.”

About WorldView 2.0

WorldView 2.0 for the Macintosh runs as a native Netscape plug-in and will
be available on Microsoft Internet Explorer. Based on the successful
windows version, all of the powerful features remain, including support for
the VRML 2.0 specification combined with Intervistas functional and
performance enhancements and a simple, intuitive user interface.
Additionally, WorldView 2.0 for the Macintosh uses the industry standard
QuickDraw3D for rendering so that content developers and consumers may
automatically take advantage of existing hardware acceleration.

Since its initial introduction in October 1996, WorldView 2.0 for the PC
has distinguished itself as the markets leading browser and is the
industrys only complete VRML solution for the PC including full Java
support, adherence to the VRML standard, extended font support and native
interfaces for both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
WorldView will be fully integrated into Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0,
making VRML content seamlessly available to millions.

What People Are Saying About WorldView for the Macintosh

“It’s long past time that Macintosh users and Webmasters have been able to
explore the incredible world of VRML. Kudos to Intervista for making the
virtual a reality on the Mac!”, said Mark Pesce, co-originator of VRML.
