–New release of QuickDNS Pro, version 2.1, offers more flexibility and
ease of use, enhances server performance–

Reykjavik, Iceland, April 15, 1998 — Men & Mice’s cutting edge DNS server
for the Mac OS, QuickDNS Pro, now provides more capabilities and ease of
use with the latest release, version 2.1, as well as enhancing server
performance. The upgrade includes user configurable log levels, domain
setup assistance for classless reverse domains, and direct importing of DNS
text files to the QuickDNS admin program.

User configurable log levels in QuickDNS Pro 2.1 enables administrators to
control the degree of server logging. By reducing the log level, users can
increase performance on busy servers and minimize the log file size. The
new version also provides domain setup assistance for classless reverse
domains, easing administration of reverse domains for blocks of IP
addresses.
An added benefit in this upgrade is direct importing of DNS text files,
resulting in shorter administration time and more accuracy to domain data
when migrating from other DNS servers. Several other enhancements have also
been made to add more reliability to the already robust QuickDNS
application.

The upgrade to QuickDNS Pro 2.1 is free for registered users of QuickDNS
Pro 2.0. QuickDNS Pro 1.x users can now upgrade to the 2.1 version for only
$89. The full version of QuickDNS Pro 2.1 is available now for $290 from
Men & Mice, StarNine Technologies and resellers worldwide. Educational
licences are also available from Men & Mice for $195.
