Developer Central Pavilion Returns to Macworld Boston

Apple Computer, MacTech Showcase Products and Services for Developers

Cupertino, CA--July 26, 1996--Apple Computer, Inc. today announced its
plans to showcase the latest technologies, tools, support, and
information for
developers at Macworld Boston, Aug, 7-10, 1996. Co-sponsored by Apple
and
MacTech Magazine, the Developer Central Pavilion is designed to provide
convenient access to information on the latest developer products and
services
for Apple Macintosh and Newton platform development.

"Developer Central is a dynamic environment where developers can come
for the
latest information on developing for the Macintosh and Newton platforms
," said
Heidi Roizen, vice president, Apple Developer Relations. "We reached
20,000
Macworld attendees at our expanded Developer Central in San Francisco
last
January. In Boston, we'll build on this momentum by demonstrating our
growing
portfolio of tools and support programs, and by fostering education and
collaboration among tools vendors and application developers."

At Developer Central, developers of all experience levels can find the
tools
and information they need to create corporate and commercial
applications, as
well as multimedia titles and custom solutions:

Each day, the pavilion will feature a full program of technical seminars
at its two theaters. The Overview Theater will provide more than 45
updates to
the latest technologies, products, and business opportunities targeted
specifically to developers. These 20-minute introductions will include
information on the latest Apple technologies, such as, Mac OS 8,
QuickTime VR
and other interactive media tools, core tool technologies, such as C++,
and
late-breaking news on client/server computing and internet-related
tools.
Presentations will include technology updates from Apple, Power
Computing and
Radius.

The Seminar Theater will feature 90-minute tutorials, covering topics
such as
transition to Mac OS 8, introduction to component development,
developing
games using Sprockets, utilizing Acrobat 3.0 APIs, Introduction to
Powerbuilder Enterprise and Introduction to ADA95. All seminars will be
offered free of charge as a courtesy to Macworld attendees.

Within its 6,000 square feet of exhibit space, Developer Central will
showcase
more than 70 developer product and service providers in individual
booths.
