Grapple its popular string finder for the Macintosh. Grapple is now the
fastest string finder of any we tested! Its polished user interface, clear
presentation of results and easy access to any file containing a matching
string takes the pain out of finding lost documents.
Quick Summary:

Grapple allows you to speedily set up and execute a search, whether wide
open or very specific. You can build a menu of your most useful starting
folders and another of the file types or groups of types that you often
search. You can specify other constraints including a maximum file size, a
range of modification dates, a partial file name and more to speed your
search by narrowing its scope.
As Grapple searches it displays matching strings hilited in an extract of
the surrounding text. You can tell at a glance if you've found the right
match!
Then you can get right to the file containing the match: - double click on
a text extract to view the file within Grapple - select an extract and open
the file: - with your favorite editor, - with the parent
application, or
- have the Finder locate the file for you. All at the press of a button!
