Molly Connolly of Thorsen Consulting and Cris Ippolite of iSolutions have announced a new scholarship opportunity available to FileMaker developers.

The scholarships have been established to encourage FileMaker developers wishing to take advantage of the many professional training and networking opportunities at DevCon (http://www.filemaker.com/learning/devcon/). The scholarship will cover the cost of a full conference pass to DevCon 2015. Connolly and Ippolite will select two developers for the award.

“We understand that when you’re first starting out, funding a conference fee, hotel and airfare is not an easy thing to do,” says Ippolite. “These two scholarships will make it possible for two  developers who would not normally be able to attend DevCon to join us.”

Both Connolly and Ippolite have found DevCon sessions and professional networking opportunities add great value to their businesses.

“Coincidentally, both Cris and I attended our first DevCon in Monterrey, California and it marked the beginning of exciting careers for both of us,” says Connolly. “We are hoping to find individuals who are passionate about this exciting work and help them take their FileMaker careers to the next level.”

Ippolite is a FileMaker Excellence Award-winning trainer and founder of iSolutions, a Los Angeles-based FileMaker consulting firm. Ippolite is a certified in all versions of FileMaker and is one of 60 partner-level FileMaker Business Alliance members in the world. He also has been a regular speaker at several technology conferences, including the FileMaker Developer Conference. Ippolite provides all FileMaker video training content for lynda.com.

DevCon takes place July 20-23, 2015 at The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas, Nevada. Eligible scholarship applicants include men or women who have never attended DevCon before. Developers will be asked to complete a short survey indicating their experience using FileMaker and write a brief essay that begins with the sentence,
