New data from Parks Associates (www.parksassociates.com) says that nearly 30% of U.S. broadband households own and use at least one connected health device.

“Demographic trends and limited availability of long-term care services are driving many people around the world to examine independent living at home technologies,” says Harry Wang, director, Health & Mobile Product Research, Parks Associates. “In the U.S. and Canada in particular, the private sector is the driving force for this market, and new technologies  make independent living both financially viable and technologically feasible.
