Magazine publisher Future “hinted: that :it will upgrade its digital strategy later this year, as it announced impressive sales at Apple’s Newsstand, reports “paidContent” (http://macte.ch/8hWQ0).

“Sales of digital editions on Apple devices have passed £5 million ($8 million) in the period since the Apple Newsstand was launched in October 2011,” the company reported in Thursday’s interim trading update.

Future publishes “T3,” “Tap!,” “Guitarist,” “PC Gamer,” “Total Film,” “Simply Knitting,” “Edge” and lots of other magazines. Newsstand was introduced by Apple in iOS 5.
