Kensington’s (http://www.kensington.com) US$79.99 Folio Trio Mobile Workstation for the iPad 2 and new iPad isn’t for everyone. However, its target audience should find it indispensable

The Workstation is designed for the mobile professional who packs an iPad as one of his/here business tools, along with a notepad, pen or pencil and business cards. If you just need a protective case for your iPad, the Kensington product is overkill for you.

For the aforementioned on-the-go pro, however, the protective, zippered case keeps an iPad safe from damage, as well as provides a flexible folio. It includes a three-ring binder, two-position iPad stand, loops for pen and stylus, and pockets to organize business or credit cards.

Unzip the Kensington Folio Trio Mobile Workstation and you’re ready to write on your Apple tablet or look up online info. Prop the iPad up on the two position for viewing videos. On the opposite side of the Workstation you can take notes on a notepad (not included). If you wish, the three-ring binder can be removed.

About the only downside to the Kensington Folio Trio Mobile Station is there’s no room designed to stash a keyboard for use with the iPad. With the tablet inserted into its Workstation holder, you can’t attach a keyboard to it.

However, with a little finangling you can fit a Bluetooth Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover — see our review at http://macte.ch/FrIp3 –into the Workstation. It’s a bit of a cludgy workaround, but it transforms the Kensington Folio Trio Mobile Workstation into the Kensington Folio Trio Mobile Office.
