Photoshop Elements 3 now included with Intuos3 tablet

Wacom has announced that Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 is now included with all sizes of its Intuos3 pen tablets. “With 19 pressure-sensitive tools, Photoshop Elements 3 is designed to be used with a Wacom pen to deliver dynamic control of important tool attributes such as size, opacity, and color. When used with a Wacom pen, the Quick Fix and Spot Healing Brush allow users to selectively alter images and naturally remove photographic flaws.  Photographers will particularly appreciate the control of Camera Raw and the efficiency of the new File Browser.

Wacom drops prices on Cintiq pen displays

Wacom today announced price reductions on its line of Cintiq interactive pen displays. Effective immediately, the Cintiq 18SX will be reduced US$1,000 to $2,499 and the Cintiq 15X will be reduced $400 to $1,499. The Cintiq 18SX has an 18.1″ SXGA display (1280 x 1024), while the Cintiq 15X has a 15″ XGA display (1024 x 768). Both products ship with a custom ICC profile to ensure a high level of color accuracy.

Wacom introduces Graphire3 pen tablets

Wacom on Monday unveiled its new Graphire3 pen tablet lineup. The new tablets, which are now available in either 4″ x 5″ or 6″ x 8″ sizes, come with a pressure-sensitive pen and an ambidextrous mouse that are both cordless and battery-free. They come in a choice of three colors: Sapphire Blue, Pearl White and Graphite Gray. The included pen features 512-levels of pressure sensitivity, built-in eraser, and takes advantage of the handwriting capabilities included with Mac OS X’s Inkwell technology.

Platinum Wacom Intuos2 tablets coming

Wacom today announced that it will be releasing two of its Intuos2 USB pen tablets in a new “Platinum” finish. The Platinum tablets, which will be available in June, will come in 6×8 and 9×12 sizes. The Intuos2 features 1,024 levels of pen tip and eraser pressure sensitivity and come with a batteryless, cordless stylus and mouse. Wacom Technology has posted a new driver for Wacom graphics tablets running on Mac OS X 10.1.5 and Mac OS X 10.2. Mac OS X driver 4.7.6-3 supports all Wacom tablet with a USB connection: Intuos2 Series (XD), Intuos Series (GD), Graphire2 (ETA), Graphire (ET), PenPartner (CT) and the Interactive Pen Displays Cintiq 18sx, 15x, PL-500 & PL-400. Version 4.76-3, which is a release candidate, supports the new CintiqPartner accessory tablet, as well as offers numerous other bug fixes and improvements.
