Equinux has entered the TV receiver market for Mac OS X in the United States. The company’s TubeStick hybrid offers more flexibility to enjoy your favorite TV shows on your Mac, iPhone or iPod. The newly announced USB TV receiver allows you to watch, pause and record live television on your Mac in HD quality. And with The Tube software that comes with TubeStick hybrid, users can even chat with other viewers during each TV show. TubeStick hybrid will be available, starting in February for US$129.

Equinux today introduced TubeStick, a white “Apple-esque” DVB-T receiver designed exclusively for the Mac. TubeStick connects to a USB port and ships with equinux’s new TV software “TheTube” — TV on the Mac is now simple and intuitive. The device also works with equinux’s own media center solution, MediaCentral.
