eWeek reports that Apple will stay subpoenas seeking information about unnamed individuals who allegedly leaked trade secrets in its civil complaint against two Mac Web sites.

Lawyers for PowerPage.org and AppleInsider asked a California court on Monday to block subpoenas seeking to identify the source of leaked product details, reports CNET News.com. “The subpoenas should not be permitted because Internet journalists deserve the full protection of the First Amendment that their traditional brethren have long enjoyed, the lawyers say in a brief filed in Santa Clara Superior Court.
