RealNetworks today released RealPlayer 10.1, the latest version of its media player, as a Universal Binary. This release offers Universal Binary support for Intel-based Macs and contains all prior security updates. RealPlayer 10.1 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

RealNetworks today announced it has released RealPlayer 10 for Mac OS X in four new language versions, and RealPlayer 10 for Linux in nine new European and Asian languages. The new localizations for RealPlayer 10 are available immediately in French, German, Japanese and Spanish.

RealNetworks will this week release RealPlayer 10 for Mac OS X. Available in beta form for free this Wednesday, June 30, the newest RealPlayer enables Mac users to take advantage of audio and video content in many of the major Internet media formats, including RealAudio, RealVideo, AAC, QuickTime and MPEG. Also included in the RealPlayer for Mac OS X beta is an integrated browser window, advanced video controls and graphic equalizer.
