Plextor ships external 16X DVD burner
Plextor Corp. today announced the availability of the PX-740UF DVD+/-R/RW drive. The drive offers dual interface support for both Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and full-speed compliant IEEE-1394 FireWire, and offers burst data transfer rates of 480 Mbps (USB) or 400 Mbps (Firewire), allowing users to burn a 4.7GB DVD+R disc in approximately six minutes.
