MyTunes, the utility that lets iTunes for Windows users download songs from each other, won’t be getting updated anytime soon, according to its developer. CNET News.com reports that “the popular software has all but vanished from the Net, and its programmer’s sites have gone dark. But this time, it’s not the doing of an angry record industry or a conflict-averse Apple.

A small software developer has created a program called MyTunes that lets iTunes for Windows users download song files from other people over a network. “While iTunes’ main purpose is let people buy music online and play songs stored on their PC, the software also includes a feature that allows customers to listen to songs stored on another PC on their local network,” reports CNET News.com.
