Apple has posted a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic feature on its Web site. “It is four thousand years before the Galactic Empire and hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith. As the last hope of the Jedi, you must lead a band of freedom fighters in an epic struggle to save the galaxy.” A video trailer is also available.

Aspyr announced today that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has gone gold and will begin shipping Sept. 14, arriving in stores nationwide Sept. 19. “The critically acclaimed game takes place in the popular Old Republic timeframe, 4,000 years prior to the Star Wars films, in an era dominated by an epic conflict between Jedi and the evil Sith. As the Force within you develops, do you follow the light and join the Jedi, or do you embrace the power of the Dark Side?

Aspyr today announced that it will be publishing a Mac version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game is set over 4,000 years before the first Star Wars film, and throws players into a galactic war between the Jedi and the Sith. KOTOR introduces new stories, new characters, new species and news areas of the universe never seen in any of the films. The title also offers the familiar Star Wars staples such as dozens of offensive, defensive and enhancing Force powers and customizable light sabers.
