MacSpeech today announced the availability of iListen 1.8, a free update to the company’s speech recognition solution, is now compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Version 1.8 includes new commands to support the new TextEdit, Finder, and Safari 3 in Leopard. In addition, significant enhancements to the Voice Launcher, a few of which are Leopard-only, and to the Web Favorites command sets are included, along with other bug fixes and refinements.

MacSpeech today announced that it has released the latest version of its top-selling program, iListen. Version 1.7 is the 7th major release of iListen, and further enhances the company’s speech recognition application with a host of new features and bug fixes. iListen 1.7 is now Universal Binary, and will run natively on Intel or PowerPC Macintosh computers. It also boasts faster training and enhanced accuracy. Users can now be up and running in as little as five minutes, the company says.

iListen 1.6.8 released with Tiger support

MacSpeech today announced iListen 1.6.8, the latest version of its popular speech recognition software. Version 1.6.8 offers support for Mac OS X 10.4 “Tiger,” allows users to access Spotlight and Automator applications by voice, a new Transcription AppleScript commands and a description field in the Command Editor to enter comments about how the command should be used, and more. The 1.6.8 update is free to all existing users of iListen 1.5 or later. Users of previous versions of iListen can upgrade for US$39.95.

MacSpeech releases Australian/UK iListen 1.6.5

MacSpeech has released an update to the Australian/UK english version of its popular iListen speech recognition program. iListen 1.6.5 includes several enhancements and bug fixes and is a free update to anyone using version 1.5 and later. MacSpeech has increased the total number of commands that can be in any one command set from 256 to 2,048 and made it possible for individual commands to be disabled.

iListen gets minor update

MacSpeech today released a minor upgrade to the iListen speech recognition product. The rev addresses some bugs in the Mac OS X Services menu and adds support for Hierarchical Menus in its built-in Script Editor. Users of upcoming ScriptPaks from MacSpeech will need this new version in order to use all of the commands in those ScriptPaks.
