Our friends over at iCalShare let us know that they have added calendar previews to their popular site, which offers over 1250 calendars in over 30 different categories for Apple’s iCal. With calendar previews, you can now preview calendar content without the fuss of launching iCal and subscribing to every calendar you find interesting. They’ve also added two new ways to browse their calendar library. The ‘Top Calendars’ page lists the most popular calendars on iCalShare, while the ‘Recent Calendars’ page is a quick list of newer arrivals.

The folks at iCalShare let us know that they now have their very own Sherlock channel. With their channel, users can search the iCalShare calendar directory for their favorite calendars. Search results include calendar title, category, and author. Double-click a calendar to open that calendar’s page on the Web site, or just select the calendar and you’ll get a mini-summary with a description, subscribe link, and tons of other info. iCalShare offers over 750 calendars in over 25 different categories for Apple’s iCal.

If you are an iCal user and are looking for calendars to add to the elegant personal calendar application from Apple, look no farther. Apple does offer a few calendars on its site, but the folks at iCalShare.com offer a directory of many, many more. The site provides a list, which is constantly growing, of nearly 400 different calendars.
