IBM to sell PC business?

IBM is rumored to have put its PC business up for sale, reports FT.com. People “close to the negotiations” say that IBM is in serious discussions with Lenovo (formerly known as Legend), China’s largest maker of personal computers, and at least one other potential buyer for the unit. The sale, which reportedly will be in the $1 billion to $2 billion range, will include desktop, laptop, and notebook computers manufactured by IBM.
