Washington school considers turning down free Macs

Foster High School (Tukwila, Washington) teachers are upset that its school board could refuse to let them accept US$43,000 worth of new Macs the school was recently awarded through a grant program, according to the King County Journal. Earlier this year, teacher Jeff Heiman applied for a grant offering 30 new Macs and six laser printers to a school in an economically challenged community. He was “elated” when he found out in May that Foster had won the grant.
