Thirty exclusive products from Agfa Monotype Corp. are now available from Fonts.com. Released through the company’s Monotype foundry, the new fonts make up the Smart Sans (US$126), Neo Sans ($450) and Neo Tech ($450) families. Individual fonts sell for $42. “Monotype fonts reflect a variety of styles, periods and applications,” said Allan Haley, director of words and letters at Agfa Monotype. “This particular grouping of releases, however, looks to the future. Sebastian Lester’s ideas for the Neo series grew from a forward-thinking design brief.

Agfa Monotype has announced the additon of the URW++ font collection to Fonts.com. The new collection brings more than 3,300 fonts and font packages to the popular site. “The URW collection includes versions of some of the world’s most widely used typefaces. URW Futura is one of numerous typefaces available in Latin, Central European or Greek character sets. In addition, URW Futura offers various fonts optimized for use at text, display or poster sizes.

Agfa Monotype has released the Cool Fonts and T.26 font collections on Fonts.com, adding nearly 1,800 font products to the site. The Cool Fonts collection contains 27 fonts, six typeface families and one font package called Grunge Pack. Many of the collection’s stylistically intense designs are described by Cool Fonts as “grungy.” Individual fonts can be purchased for US$24. T.26 is now Fonts.com’s largest collection available for download.
