Dr. RawStock today announced that it has published a free copy of the company’s 280-page Apple Final Cut Pro training manual on its Web site. Produced in PDF format, visitors to the company’s website can download the 3.9MB file free of charge. The downloadable copy is identical to Dr. RawStock’s US$39.95 printed version, which it uses throughout its Digital Film School curriculum.

Dr. RawStock introduces 4x DVD-R discs

Dr. RawStock today announced its AtomicMedia brand of high-performance 4x DVD-R recordable discs. The AtomicMedia discs are targeted at the professional filmmaker using the Pioneer A05 (or compatible) mechanism, and are “extremely affordable, retailing for as much as 70% below competing brands.” AtomicMedia 4x DVD-R discs are available immediately, and are sold either individually (US$3.29) or in bulk spool packs of 25 discs ($64.75).

Dr. RawStock today announced the launch of its 100% Apple Final Cut Pro post-production facility at the company’s Hollywood headquarters. Built around Apple’s latest Power Mac G4, Dr RawStock’s edit suites “bring creative professionals access to today’s most advanced HD desktop video equipment, as well as providing a hip and comfortable work environment.” Rates start at US$50 per hour, and $499 per week.
