New network storage solution offered for under $1/GB
Coraid today announced that 2Frost Software has released an AoE (ATA over Ethernet) driver for Mac OS X. This new driver enables a “significant” breakthrough in cost and scalability of storage for the Mac platform. The companies have teamed up to release a commercial version of AoE that delivers virtually limitless storage for Mac OS X users. “Mac users now have a new option for networked storage that allows them to scale their storage for well below $1 per Gigabyte,” said Jim Kemp, CEO of Coraid.
