Jobs wants cheaper iPods, 5% of all music sales

The Wall Street Journal has posted the transcript [paid subscription required] of Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ onstage conversation with Walt Mossberg at last week’s D: All Things Digital conference. During the Q&A, Mossberg noted that Apple has been criticized for not playing in the low end PC market, and asked if the iPod is the company’s US$400 computer. “Yeah, we actually approached it that way,” Jobs said.
