DVD+RW Alliance announces 4x DVD recording
The DVD+RW Alliance today announced the specifications for 4x DVD+R recording speeds, which will allow devices designed to this specification the ability to record at 5.5MB/sec, taking less than fifteen minutes to record a 4.7GB DVD+RW/+R disc. The 4x DVD+R specification has already been completed, and the DVD+RW specification expected to be finished before the end of the year.
