Apple a “Tech Survivor”

Wendell Perkins, manager of the JohnsonFamily Value funds, labels Apple a tech survivor and calls the company a good buy because “it is the only innovative company in the personal computer sector,” according to CNN/Money. Perkins only recommends tech companies that have little or no debt and a relatively large amount of cash, and says the survivors of the economic slowdown will be companies with strong enough balance sheets to enable continued spending on research.
