CE Software today announced the release of QuickMail 3.0 beta, a new version of its e-mail client and server for OS 8/9 and Mac OS X. The new version adds client and server interfaces that take advantage of Mac OS X’s Aqua interface, a new address book distribution, and numerous other improvements. The public beta version of the QuickMail Pro client is available now, while a beta version of the server will be available in the coming weeks.

As the X-Box launch nears, Bungie Studios’ Matt Soell has assured fans of its long-awaited 3D action game, Halo, that the company still plans to bring the game to both Mac and PC.
