Google Web Toolkit (GWT) is a Java software development framework that
makes writing AJAX applications like Google Maps and Gmail easy for
developers who don’t speak browser quirks as a second language.
In an announcement made today, @Last Software says it has been acquired by Google Inc., as noted by MacCentral. Co-founder Brad Schell gives an overview of what this means for the 3D sketch software and a breakdown of how it happened. “Are we going to give up on design and all the cool new features and products we have in the pipeline? No way! In fact, the mission doesn’t change at all,” says Schell.
