Rage Software today announced the availability of Rage Google Sitemap Automator 1.3, a free update to the software package that allows Webmasters to automate the process of generating Google Sitemaps. Apple today announced that Dr. Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, was elected to the company’s board of directors at their meeting today. Eric also sits on Google’s board of directors and Princeton University’s board of trustees. “Eric is obviously doing a terrific job as CEO of Google, and we look forward to his contributions as a member of Apple’s board of directors,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.

Google releases video player for Mac

Google has release a Mac version of its Google Video Player for Mac. The player allows users to watch Google Video from the Desktop. Features include: watch videos downloaded from Google Video; browse scenes within a video using thumbnails; skip to anywhere in the video, even if that portion hasn’t downloaded yet; watch videos in full screen mode; and resume video downloads automatically. Google Video Player requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and a 1 GHz or faster processor.
