Toshiba today officially announced the 60GB version of its 1.8-inch hard disk drive, which is expected to make its way into the next iPod revision. The new drive, which is due in the fourth quarter 2004, features improved shock tolerance, power consumption and vibration control for better performance in portable consumer electronics devices.
