Macworld At a glanceExpert's Rating Pros Modular for photographers Well-designed compartments Good carrying characteristics Cons High price of camera inserts No optional waist belt Our Verdict The Everything Backpack 28L is a practical, versatile and well-designed all-rounder backpack for travel, photography and everyday use. Price when reviewed This value will show the geolocated pricing text for product undefined Best Pricing Today Price When Reviewed$199 Best Prices Today: Moment Everything Backpack – 28L Retailer Price $199 View Deal Moment $199 View Deal Price comparison from over 24,000 stores worldwide Product Price Price comparison from Backmarket The design of the Moment Everything Backpack is characterised by clear lines. Here, form follows function. This is reflected in easy access, because—and this is what makes it special—the Everything Backpack is a modular rucksack that is especially useful for photographers. Expandable Modular means that the Everything Backpack is not only suitable as a travel backpack for transporting your baggage, but also as a laptop or camera backpack—and, of course, in combination. This versatility is made possible by the optional camera inserts. But first, let’s cover the basics: there are two ways to access the spacious main compartment. The first is via a zip that runs around three sides, allowing the back to be opened completely. This is particularly handy when packing clothes. With a volume of 28 litess, the rucksack offers enough space for two to three days’ worth of luggage. The camera inserts can be accessed in the same way. I’ll go into more detail on that later. Another option is via the front of the rucksack with a zip running along two and a half sides. This is perfect for use as a laptop rucksack for study and work. Three large mesh compartments with zips can store all kinds of accessories up to book size. But that’s not all: there is a large outer pocket with another large compartment, all with zips, hidden across almost the entire front. There is also a key holder. The compartment for the laptop is housed separately by another zip on the back. This also opens wide and provides access to extra compartments for a 16-inch MacBook, a 13-inch iPad Pro and magazines. Additional mesh compartments are large enough for a power supply and cables, as well as pens or the Apple Pencil. On the right-hand side, there is also space for a water bottle or tripod, which is slightly flexible in size thanks to an elastic band. The last compartment for passports and valuables is hidden at the back with RFID protection, keeping it well protected from thieves. In addition to the handle on the top, another handle on the side and the sturdy, well-padded carrying straps are important for transport. A chest strap is also a must, as is a strap for secure attachment to a trolley handle. There is no waist strap. The back is well padded and has a recess along the spine for moisture regulation. As a camera rucksack In addition to various pouches for cosmetics or technology, there are also two camera inserts with volumes of four and eight litres respectively. The large camera insert offers space for a mirrorless system camera with three lenses, measuring 275 × 285 × 125mm. The small camera insert, measuring 290 × 157 × 114mm, is large enough for a mirrorless system camera with a larger lens or a DJI Mini 3 drone or an Insta360 X5 or Ace Pro—each with plenty of accessories. There are mounting points for the camera inserts so that they are securely fixed in place. Only one of the two camera inserts can be securely positioned at a time. Important for photographers: the camera can also be accessed from the side, so you don’t have to open the Everything Backpack completely to get to the camera. Price The modular Everything Backpack 28L is available in black, grey, olive and blue for $199 or £170. Check out our favorite best MacBook backpacks for an even wider choice. Should you buy the Moment Everything Backpack? At first glance, the Everything Backpack looks like a simple rucksack, but its true potential becomes apparent when you look inside. The generous volume is extremely useful, not least thanks to the easy access, which is possible in two ways. Even when fully loaded, the rucksack could still be carried comfortably over a longer distance after shopping at the supermarket. A waist strap would have been desirable, but its absence is not a major issue. The high modularity of the Everything Backpack is particularly impressive. It can be converted into a camera backpack in just a few simple steps, while still offering enough space for clothes when travelling. Moment has not neglected the basics either: the compartments are in the right places and are sensibly sized. This turns a backpack that appears unremarkable at first glance into an extremely versatile companion for travel, photography and everyday office life.02:38 amHere’s how the new M5 Max chip did on early Geekbench tests
