Despite a recent Apple stock price target cut bank Morgan Stanley is amongst Apple's biggest bulls — and it has proven that by nudging the company's price target up to $216.An Apple Store signMorgan Stanley was oddly bullish about Apple even as it dropped its price target from $220 to $210. Following Apple's Q2 2024 earnings report, the company has increased its price target to $216, and sounds as if it feels vindicated."Apple guided to an above-Street June Q, alleviated concerns about China iPhone [sales], reached an all-time Services rev & GM record, authorized its largest incremental buyback in history, & hinted at Gen AI announcements to come in weeks," said the company in a note to investors seen by AppleInsider. "It's hard not to be more bullish after that." Continue Reading on AppleInsider | Discuss on our Forums03:52 pmToday in Apple history: Mac’s first 100 days prove a roaring success

A new report claims that a supplier may develop new technology or new processes, only for Apple to — perfectly legally — take that work to a cheaper company, sometimes leaving the original one to go bankrupt.Apple has suppliers all over the worldThere have already been examples in 2024 of how being an Apple supplier may not be a great idea. While no parties involved will directly confirm it, it appears that Apple abruptly cancelled two micro LED suppliers — one of whom had spent $1.4 billion building a factory for it.Reportedly, those firms have no recourse with Apple, and presumably it's because the cancellations were allowed within the contracts. According to The Information, Apple's typical contracts also give it complete control and at least co-ownership, over every step of the supplier's manufacturing process. Macworld With WWDC just about a month away, you’re going to read a lot of stories about how the newest features in iOS 18 are copies of something Google or Samsung already have in Android. But we’re willing to bet that the latest feature Google is rolling out to Android users will never ever show up after an iPhone update. As spotted by 9to5Google, Google calls the new feature Audio Emoji and as the name suggests, the feature adds sounds to popular emoji so people can hear what they would normally look at. If you’re re-reading that sentence with a quizzical face, you’re not alone. It’s a very dumb feature. The emojis included are: Face with tears of joy Clapping hands Party popper Crying face Pile of poop Drum When selected during a call, they will play the following corresponding sounds: laughing, clapping, party cheering, sad trombone, farting, and a ba-dum-tiss percussion sting. You read that right—you can now add a farting noise during a call on your Pixel or Galaxy phone. Here’s how it works. During an active phone call, users will see a new Audio Emoji button that displays the six options when tapped. Select one and the person you’re talking to will hear the sound on the other end, and you will see a short animation as if you were texting someone and sent an emoji as a reaction. 9to5Google has a video showing the six Audio Emoji and they’re as head-scratching as you’d expect. Google says the feature will let users “express emotions and moods while you’re in a call,” but it seems like the kind of feature no one will ever use. I could maybe see Audio Emoji in a text message but on a call? I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but I can’t imagine it’s going to be a feature that sticks around very long. And I can guarantee that Apple will never try to imitate it on an iPhone. iPhone01:30 pmGet 500GB of cloud storage for life, only $120
