Macworld We’re about eight weeks away from Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference on June 8, when Apple will preview the next generation of operating systems. iOS 27 is expected to feature major Siri and AI enhancements, but one question user have is what iPhone will be able to run iOS 27. A leaker who goes by Instant (Momentary) Digital on Weibo, which has a decent track record for leaking credible information, has posted the alleged compatibility list for iOS 27. Typical of Apple’s iOS support, the iPhone list goes back seven years. Instant Digital/Weibo Notably missing from the list are the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, and the 2nd-generation iPhone SE. The iPhone 11 models were released in 2019, while the SE was released in 2020. Apple often drops devices from new OS releases after about seven years. If you happen to have one of those iPhones, you’ll still be able to use it. You just need to stay on iOS 26, which will still receive regular security updates for at least another year. The iPhone 11 and 11 Pro have 4GB of RAM, while the second-gen SE has 3GB, so they aren’t able to run Apple Intelligence or the upcoming new Siri. Apple will reveal iOS 27, macOS 27, and the other version 27 operating systems at WWDC26. Learn more about iOS 27 and WWDC26.03:48 pmVidBITS: Matt Sephton’s Wall of Tiny Apps
