3D computer screens may come as early as next year

The advent of computer screens that give the appearance of a three dimensional workspace may not be that far off. A Reuters report out of Singapore tells of Deep Video Imaging, a private research company based in New Zealand, that has developed the said technology using multiple layers of LCD screens — no 3D goggles required. Prototypes for desktop computers are expected sometime next year.
