Apple launches interest-free iMac promotion
Apple today kicked off an interest-free iMac promotion that allows customers to purchase an iMac with no interest and no down payment for six months. The promotion, which runs through July 8, also offers customers who opt not take advantage of the interest-free period a free Rio 600 MP3 player. Apple launched a similar promotion, minus the MP3 player, in the UK in mid-May.

The product lineup includes the Broadband Gateway (base station) that features two ethernet ports — one for plugging the cable/DSL modem into — an integrated print server, and a PC serial port. The company also offers PCMCIA cards and an 802.11b USB adapter.
