Apple has published a feature detailing how ColorSync technology helps the Kroger Food Company ensure that the image of the food product on the packaging is the same as the food itself.

Apple today kicked off an interest-free iMac promotion that allows customers to purchase an iMac with no interest and no down payment for six months. The promotion, which runs through July 8, also offers customers who opt not take advantage of the interest-free period a free Rio 600 MP3 player. Apple launched a similar promotion, minus the MP3 player, in the UK in mid-May.

MiLAN technology today released ShAir Office, an 802.11b wireless networking solution that includes printer sharing. The product lineup includes the Broadband Gateway (base station) that features two ethernet ports — one for plugging the cable/DSL modem into — an integrated print server, and a PC serial port. The company also offers PCMCIA cards and an 802.11b USB adapter.

Apple has launched a new double-RAM deal in the UK that offers iMac purchasers twice the RAM — either an extra 64 or 128 MB — free of charge. The promotion runs until the end of June, according to Macworld UK.

Farallon has posted the final version of their SkyLINE 3.0.1 driver software for their wireless airport compatible PC & PCI cards. This driver supports the new Computer-to-Computer mode introduced with AirPort 1.3, named Ad Hoc networks. [846k]
