Iomega ships Peerless drive

Iomega has quietly begun shipping the US$399.95 USB version of its Peerless drive ahead of schedule, according the company’s site. Macworld UK also reports that the unit has begun shipping in the UK for £269. The Peerless uses removable 10GB and 20GB cartridge drives, and comes with a 20GB drive. USB 2.0, FireWire, and SCSI interface cables, which can be used with the same base unit, will be available later.

Sonnet updates Encore G4 X

Sonnet has updated their drivers for the Encore G4 X, as noted on VersionTracker. Version 1.0.1 adds enhanced-compatibility with the download version of the Startup Disk Control Panel 9.2.1. Sonnet notes that if you have successfully run version 1.0 of the driver install, you do not need this update.
