The 22nd Annual National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) kicks off today in Chicago, Illinois with Apple CEO Steve Jobs set to deliver the opening keynote at 9:30 AM EDT. Apple will also be exhibiting at the conference, demonstrating and displaying all its latest hardware and software. Some media outlets have also speculated that Apple may launch new products at NECC.

James Walker has posted PrintToPDF 2.2.3, a maintenance update to the software. PrintToPDF allows users to create PDF documents from virtually any application — without the need for Adobe Acrobat. It carries a US$20 shareware fee.

CE Software has released InOut Tracker, a people-tracking utility designed for office environments. The software can track the location of individuals, contact them via email, and more. Pricing varies depending on the size of the user license, with a 5-pack starting at US$59.95. A 30-day free trial will be available from CE Software’s site.

Iomega today announced a new Zip 100MB drive that’s closer roughly half the size of its predecessor. The USB bus-powered drive will sells for US$99.95 and ship in August.

While there are no details posted as to what events will be broadcast, Steve Jobs is scheduled to deliver his keynote address today from 8:30 – 10:00 am Central Time, so that may be included.
