Sonnet has posted Sonnet PCI OS X Installer 1.0.2 and Sonnet Encore G4 X Install 1.0.2, a minor update to the installer for the drivers for its G3/G4 upgrades. The new version ensures that all necessary files are copied during the installation process, regardless of a computer’s date and time settings.

Apple today issued a voluntary recall of all PowerBook G3 adapters manufactured from May 1998 through March 2000. Apple will replace free of charge any two-prong PowerBook G3 adapters manufactured during that time. “The affected AC adapters could overheat, posing a fire hazard. Apple received six reports of these adapters overheating. No injuries have been reported.
