Belkin today announced three new consumer networking products that will ship on August 1: new five and eight-port switches, which will sell for US$69.99 and $89.99, respectively, and a new four-port broadband gateway router, which also features a firewall and will sell for $129.99.

Dantz today announced Retrospect 5.0, which will support both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, will ship in four flavors: Express (US$49), Desktop ($149), Workgroup ($299), and Server ($499). The software is scheduled for release in the fall; customers who purchase Retrospect Desktop 4.3 after July 18 will be entitled to a free upgrade to 5.0

Fujitsu today announced that its FireWire, USB, and IDE magneto-optical drives are compatible with Mac OS X. The company is also offering special Macworld Expo pricing on its drives, which is available to everyone, not just those attending the show.

If the two minute mention during today’s keynote didn’t give it away, Apple is significantly downplaying today’s revised iMacs. MacMinute’s roving reporters on the show floor report that just six of Apple’s best-selling Mac are available for demonstration, as opposed to the rows of dozens at previous shows.
