Griffin Technology has posted beta 3 of the Mac OS X driver for its iMate USB-to-ADB adapter. At present, only Apple mice and keyboards and Kensington mice/trackballs work under OS X with the iMate.

MacNETv2 is featuring a video competition that will award the winner a copy of Final Cut Pro for Mac OS X when it ships. Contestants need only create a two-to-five minute video on their Mac to enter. Entries must be received by November 30; winners will be announced December 15.

AppleTalk is a new Mac-based radio show that premiers August 2 at 8:00 PM EDT. The two-hour show will cover hardware, software, reviews, and “a healthyamount of PC bashing.”

Macromedia Web World 2001 will take place September 17 to 20 at the San Francisco Hilton. The four day conference will showcase how Macromedia’s products and how to maximize their use for developing on the Web. Web World 2001 will feature 45 conference sessions, and more than 25 speakers, including members of the Macromedia development team and independent industry experts. Registration is available through August 15 for US$1,595, a $100 savings.
