Publicspace.net has announced the release of A Better Finder Rename 4.0 — the first full release of the utility for Mac OS X. A Better Finder Rename is a contextual menu plug-in, which allows users to quickly rename multiple files. The press release notes that now that the product has been successfully ported, the development efforts will refocus on the implementation of new features and improvements.

Addonics has announced the multi-format Pocket DigiDrive — a pocket-size storage device that reads/writes digital audio/video files from seven different formats, including CF-I, CF-II, Smart Memory, Memory Stick, Micro Drive, Multimedia Card, and Secure Digital Card. The USB Pocket DigiDrive weighs 11 ounces, measures 4 inches x 5.5 inches x 1 inch and retails for US$89.

QPS has announced three new DVD burners — these DVD-R, DVD-RAM drives include the internal IDE/ATAPI Que! DVDBurner (US$549), the external QUE! USB 2.0 DVDBurner ($699), and the external QUE! Fire DVDBurner ($649). Mac compatibility could not be confirmed at press time, but the new drives are available immediately.

Alco Blom has posted a maintenance release of Web Confidential, his password organizer for the Internet with 448-bit encryption. Web Confidential 2.2.2 is a maintenance release for use with Mac OS 8 or 9. It is also noted that Web Confidential 3.0 for Mac OS X is in development and will be released in October.
